DRF is a joint storyline between myself, and Ali Floyd that has been going on for almost 4 years. It is all done over AOL in chat rooms, Roleplayed out, and attacks and defense done with AOL's dice system. What started as a simple RP in the Sector 5 Church for AOL's "Arts and Entertainment" section, blew up to be a huge, massively deep story, with a plethora of characters, and a gripping plotline. This page will be dedicated to attempting to explain that which is, DRF, but sadly, 3 years ago My computer got destroyed, which held all the logs from when we started, until obviously, when it crashed. Thats 2 years that are unaccounted for, and it's very hard to remember what DID go on. Still, I will do my best to, as this is a major part of Fox's life, though it's more of a totally different life at times..
Major parts about the story(Prolouge)-

For one, DRF is Ali's creation. He made the DRF thing up, he made 80 or 90% of the characters, and he's usually the one running the story. I, by no means, take credit for his creation, but at the same time, I'm a very big part of it. Fox IS, the main character of the story. It would be extremely hard, if not impossible, to tell the story without him. Fox battles DRF, who's goal is to wipe out the whole planet of life, and start over from scratch. DRF is mainly (in the beginning anyway) a group of robots. They think such life forms as humans, dragons, elves, and etc. are a waste of space on the planet, and wish to destroy it of all life. Fox obviously, opposes this, and that is where the story begins.
Throughout the story, many many different characters and elements are brought in. Since Ali runs the story, most of these are his doing, but alot of times, he brings things in that aren't exactly, his idea. Zero Omega is one of the characters (mega man X) that ends up being in the story, and becomes a big part, much like everything else. Grahf, from Xenogears, becomes a HUGE part as well. I myself, have never played Xenogears, but from what others, and he, told me, there are many thing incorporated into DRF from Xeno. Grahf, Miang, Dues, and Id, all make appearances, and all become huge parts of the story. That is at the point when the story actually deters from it's original path of attacking DRF, and dips into Id, and all that. Just because he borrows those ideas however, doesn't mean we're unoriginal by ANY standpoint. For the ideas used, are taken in concept, but we put out own spin on things. Also, there is plenty more in the story, that doesn't relate in any way to Xeno. So don't worry, this isn't a regurgitated scriptline from Square, it's very original, in it's own way.
Lastly, understand that this page is simply a small summery of the whole. Much like cliffnotes, I'll try to hit the major points in the story, but remember, 2 years were lost, and the rest I have to find by fishing through 130 something logs. Please be patient in the updates, and don't sell the story short because it might seem simplistic. That would only be because I'm writing it simplistic. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see the best part of the story as well, which is the character development. Since I am not writing this like a novel, there won't be any speech, and really.. you don't get to truly meet the characters. But at any rate, I'll try to detail it all as best I can. And maybe I can get Ali to help me with this too.
Main characters of the first chapter-

Fox- Fox is in human form for the beginning of the story. DRF goes back even past before Fox became a dragon. In the early parts, Fox's Main goal is to defend the Sector 5 Church with all his might. A self made mission, Fox does this only because he can't stand to see such a place be destroyed all the time. And for a better explination of Fox, overall, read the opening page before this one.

Giesteru- I don't exactly recall how they meet, but Giesteru is a robot working for DRF, that at first, befriends Fox. Only later to turn on him, as the story unfolds.

Zero Omega- Based off the Mega Man seris in name, appearance and occupation only. Zero joins with DRF in order to use their resoruces in hunting mavericks. His objectives are much more postive than the group's, itself. Because of that, Zero also becomes friends with Fox, but something shatters that, later on.

Ken Yeung- Ken is the leader of DRF, however, he is nor human.. or robot.. Ken is something else, though it remains unexplained through most of the story, and is never completely exposed.
What is DRF?
~Keep watch for more of the story~
Chapter 1- Setting the Stage for disaster

Sector 5 Church, Midgar, in the western region of a realm called Rhydin. This was where Fox had decided to stay. When he came to Midgar to track down the ShinRa, to get revenge for his parents, he had found a place getting the worst treatment he could imagine. The church, in Sector 5. He witnessed many people killing, raping, and destroying everything, in it. It was not long before Fox decided he would make a stand there, and defend it from all evils, as best that he could. Fox made many friends during this time, like Marie, a girl who he ended up marrying later on. He also made friends with a robot named "Giesteru" who worked for an organization named "DRF". Giesteru never showed any signs that he, or his organization, were anything bad, or dangerous, so Fox went through the days without even a second thought. During this time Fox also befriended a man named "Dark" who was a fallen angel. Later on, something drastic happened to Fox, and he was turned into a dragon. From there, a battle between Fox and.. himself, went underway, but in the end, he was able to defeat Dark Fox, and with the help of his friends, made sure that would never happen again. (For a better explanation about that, go read about Fox's history)
At one point, Fox, Marie, Dark and Giesteru, had to go on a mission to the top of a massively tall mountain (which name escapes me at this point..) to get some kind of item that Dark needed (which ALSO escapes me..) It was on this mission, that Giesteru turned on them. For what seemed to be totally erratic and random, Giesteru turned completely against the group of mountain climbers, and went completely berserk, attacking them with missiles and gunfire. Shocked, but not overwhelmed, Fox used his newfound dragon abilities, and with the help of his friends, was able to take down the treacherous robot, as well as retrieve Dark's item.
Giesteru was not killed however, damaged maybe, but it survived and did not take long to repair. Giesteru became one of Fox's main enemies in defending the church. Day after day, it would come in and try to kill him, as well as take over the building. Each time, Fox would fight it off, and while he did not understand Giesteru's reason for doing this.. It was clear that DRF was responsible.
One day, a red reploid by the name of Zero Omega, ventured into the church (but the reason why.. I don't remember.. I think it was because he was searching for mavericks or something..) And at first, Fox and Zero had no problems becoming friends, but when it was revealed that Zero too, worked for the DRF.. Fox changed his attitude about him. It was not long however, until Fox went back to being his friend, because Zero's reasons for joining the DRF were not to wipe out all life, as Giesteru's was.. But rather, to use their resources in hunting down "mavericks". A Maverick, is a renegade reploid, corrupted by something called "The Sigma Virus". And as Zero's mission is to wipe them all out and destroy the Sigma Virus before it infects other reploids, DRF could provide the power and equipment needed, to perform such a task, so Zero joined up with them.
Eventually, Fox ended up scrapping Giesteru, destroying him completely, and it seemed as the threat was over..  Except that DRF is a massive group, and destroying one small robot, does not shut down the entire military force. It was discovered later that "Giesteru" was merely a model, in fact, he was not even a high official at DRF. The Giesteru were in reality, much like an infantry soldier. Sent to kills, and gather some information, but by NO means meant to pose a huge threat. It was not long before more Giesteru units were shipped out, sometimes coming in groups of 3 at a time. While this posed a greater challenge for Fox, he always managed to turn each one into scrap metal, and finally, DRF started taking him seriously.
Always thought of more as a "nuisance" Fox showed DRF that he would not let them take this world without a fight, and it was then that Ken Yeung, head of DRF, decided to take matters into his own hands. Ken showed up at the church in person, determined to take down the dragon that had been costing him victory for a very long time. But Fox proved to be much harder to defeat than Ken had thought, and suffered the same defeat as the Giesteru, but always retreated before coming close to death.
And So it went, week after week, with the same attacks from Ken and the Giesteru, all with the same result. Their loss, Fox's victory. Things seemed to have gotten much calmer in the days ahead, DRF was not attacking as strong as before, and it was assumed that this was because of their repeated failures. Just when things seem to get calm however, is always when something else strikes from behind.
Zero had been hanging around much more with Fox, though he always left when trouble arose, and made an effort not to be seen with the dragon. After all, how would it look if he was caught hanging around with one of the people responsible for so many losses to DRF? Zero knew he could easily get in severe trouble if he was seen with Fox, so he always tried to keep the visits short. He continued with his maverick hunting, but somehow, ended up becoming infected with the dreaded Sigma Virus himself. He followed Giesteru's path, and betrayed Fox. Attacking him without, what seemed to be. any remorse for his actions. It was later discovered why, when Fox watched the color on his head gemstone change colors each time he went insane. Fox vowed to save Zero from this virus, in whatever way it took.. However, by that time.. Zero had been taken off to Skull Castle, and Fox had to enter and brave the dangers of the building, in order to rescue his friend.
Within Skull Castle, Zero utilized the building's features from elevators to doors to robotic weaponry in order to hunt after Fox.  Eventually, Fox discovered the laboratory where Zero was controlling everything from, and battled against him, as well as an old invention called the Rock Monster...a robot made almost completely out of a gelatin-like subtance that could split and rebuild its body at will.  After defeating both Zero and the Rock Monster, Fox met Vile, one of the deadliest known Mavericks, who'd shown up to dispose of Zero -- the failure..and Zero -- the threat.  However, Vile's retreat was quick, after Fox quickly interrupted his attack, and this gave Zero the chance to recover from the virus's negative effects.  Once Zero came back to his senses, he left for his respective DRF division, leaving Fox behind.

Main characters of the second chapter-

Kenji Fujimatsu- Kenji is a fighter pilot who works for DRF and goes after Fox many times. In one of the battles, Fox is able to defeat him and remove what ended upbeing, mind control, from kenji. After this, the two become friends, and Fox recieves helpful information about DRF and aid, from Kenji.

Fiona Fujimatsu- Cousin to Kenji, she is also brainwashed. But has the same story as Kenji. In that, after a few bouts with Fox, she ends up freed from the mind control, and adds help to Fox's battle as well.

Keneda- High commander in DRF. After a battle with Fox, he becomes obsessed with destroying the dragon.

Miko-Jin- A group of 3 fighters, travled to Rhydin to hunt down DRF as well. At first fighting with Fox, but later becoming allies and good friends, once they understand eachother.

SOE- Special Opperations Elite of DRF. This group of four is a very interesting one.  Each with very diferent and very unique abilities, the four are dispatched to take care of Fox. Of course, Fox doesn't go easy, and they end up plaguing him for many many chapters to come.

(The following characters are from Xenogears, and were incorporated by Ali because he really found them interesting. We take no credit for them, but they do end up brnaching into different people)

Miang- For the first few chapters, this woman is no more than a mystery. Appearing every now and then, she later becomes a major player.

Grahf- Obsessed with power, and having plenty of it to go around. Grahf is really the first person to give Fox a serious run for his money. Rather than destroying the dragon, however, Grahf sees potential, and uses him for a darker desire.

A week or so later, DRF relocated Fox and began attacking him again.  But this time, they sent in one of their best fighter pilots, Kenji Fujimatsu. Besides the Geisteru soldiers, human combatants in DRF were also able to pilot humanoid mecha as well as fighter jets.  Fox and Kenji had a couple of heated battles between each other, until Fox eventually outperformed Kenji, damaging his fighter, and knocking the pilot to his senses long enough to uncover a new mystery about Ken Yeung.
It appeared that Ken was also capable of some degree of mind control, and Kenji was one of the many soldiers working for Ken that fell to this power.  Kenji still had no idea what the full story was behind DRF, but as he came to realize what he was doing, slowly started to break away from the military.  Eventually, he started providing Fox with plenty of classified information, such as military base floor plans, and secret passwords DRF used in order to keep some things locked up.
It was around this time DRF decided to send out one of the higher-ups in their forces, Keneda. Keneda was the commander of one of the Death Division in DRF, just the same as Zero was the commander of the Hunter Division.  Keneda also had command over a huge space battle fortress of the same name as his division.  Most of the logs for Keneda's battles with Fox were lost, except for the last one he ever had.  Besides the disposable Geisteru units, Keneda was the first character in the storyline to actually die.
It started with an attack led by his battle fortress, Death, over a vast forest.  Fox was the target, and Keneda's fixation on the dragon only made the attack into a rough fight between the two. Fox managed to disable the Death ship after it had already ruined quite a bit of the forest by firing its destructive main beam cannon.  Soon enough, Keneda was left a shortage of crew to keep the ship under control, and after losing his final match with the dragon, committed suicide by self-destructing the entire space fortress.  The idea failed as Fox was able to flee the scene before it was too late.

After Keneda came the introduction of Hiro Tetsuya and his group, the Special Operations Elite of the Death Rage Force, or simply...the SOE.  Hiro was the leader, and his three subordinates were named Sofia, Jessica, and Joe.  Each was considered somewhat unique, although it was hard to see this unless they were each fighting alone.  Hiro was the gunman, Sofia was a highly-trained assassin, Jessica was the only one to possess any supernatural powers, and Joe was the immensely strong man who fought with much brute strength and rarely any strategy.  Along with them, two other DRF women appeared to give Fox a hard time: Kenji's brainwashed cousin - Rear Admiral Fiona Fujimatsu, and Miang Hawwa - a woman with an unknown background, easily identified with her indigo hair and eye color.
Fiona had only a handful of bouts against Fox, but was considered fairly dangerous as a small amount of Ken's own powers were put into her for use when necessary.  But she followed a similar story as her cousin, when her fall got rid of the effects of Ken's control over her.  She, too, began to aid Fox, but not as actively as Kenji.  After a while, she fled the scene to live peacefully.
As things started to boil between Fox and the SOE, though, it became noticeable that the four mysterious elite soldiers were following Miang as their leader more than they were to Ken.  Soon enough, even everyone's favorite blue dragon learned about DRF's reports of Miang's sudden secrecy and betrayal against DRF.

Meanwhile, another newcomer showed up, going by the name of Grahf.  A masked and cloaked martial artist, he also had some supernatural presence to him.  At this point, he was the most powerful thing Fox had laid eyes on, and while alone, the dragon had no way of stopping this man.  Grahf saw the potential in Fox, however, and proceeded with a plan he had in mind from long ago.  He injected the unstable mentality of a past acquaintence of his into Fox's mind, forcing the dragon's body to become the new host of a second personality named Id.
Id's purpose remained unclear, but constantly, Grahf attempted to enrage Fox as much as possible in hopes of making Id emerge into the physical world.  Most times, he failed, and simply pummeled Fox, until eventually, he was interrupted by a partnership of two men wearing strange armor which was crawling in advanced technology.  The two stopped one of Grahf's attacks in a small desert region, calling themselves Miko-jin Shiroi and Miko-jin Midori.  Grahf fled, seemingly scaring Grahf off for the while, and so they helped Fox out before quickly taking off as well.  It wouldn't be long by the time Fox would see them again, though.

Maybe half a month later, things settled down a little, and Fox was set out on a small search for herbs, and had collected from them from one of the forests he'd come across.  At the edge of the forest, he stumbled upon a small, quiet village called Maiyolan.  It was night, and everyone was in their beds, asleep.  He wandered toward the inn to get himself a room for the night, since he was tired, and little did he know that three of the people hanging out in that inn were actually the Miko-jin who'd recently saved his life.  But since Fox had only met the two men of the team, before, this was also the introduction of the third member, Aka, or better known by her real name, Kantai. The two men went by Eiji and Garasu.
But after he got settled into his room, things got rough.  Ken Yeung attacked the town in a hunt for the armored trio, and it was revealed that DRF was actually responsible for the destruction of their home galaxy.  The Miko-jin engaged in a fight against him, but once they were powerless, Fox did the rest to stop Ken's assault, and thus was the start of a new friendship between the dragon and the Miko-jin trio.
